Itinerary

Day by day.

  1. Day 1

    Arrival in Baku

Arrival and welcome, with a first short orientation and a walk along Baku Boulevard on the Caspian. See the Flame Towers (exterior), icon of the "Land of Fire", and a panoramic viewpoint over the sea and the old and new city. Lunch locally; hotel check-in. In the evening, a Little Venice boat ride through the city-centre canals and the Heydar Aliyev Center (exterior), one of the Caucasus's most striking modern landmarks.

  2. Day 2

    Gobustan: when the stones speak

Visit the seaside Bibi-Heybat Mosque, one of Azerbaijan's holiest. Continue to Gobustan National Park (UNESCO): the interactive museum and the open-air rock petroglyphs — thousands of prehistoric carvings among humanity's oldest testimonies. Visit the mud volcanoes, a rare natural phenomenon and one of the country's geological wonders.

  3. Day 3

Icherisheher: the eternal soul of Baku

A guided walk through the old city (UNESCO) — stone alleys and ancient walls: the historic Double Gates and defensive walls, the legendary Maiden Tower (UNESCO), 15th-century hammams, the Museum of Miniature Books, and the Shirvanshahs' Palace (UNESCO). Stroll along lively Nizami Street.

  4. Day 4

    Caucasus road: Shamakhi to Gabala

Drive to Shamakhi, one of the region's oldest cultural centres; visit its 8th-century Juma Mosque, among the oldest in the Caucasus. Continue toward Gabala through changing mountain scenery, with the Seven Beauties (Yeddi Gözəl) waterfalls and the tranquil Nohur Lake. Check-in in Gabala.

  5. Day 5

    Gabala: Caucasus nature & highlands

Free morning at the hotel. Visit the Tufandag mountain resort and ride the cable car to highlands overlooking forests and green valleys — pure air, calm, and exceptional views, with free time and mountain cafés.

  6. Day 6

Sheki: Silk Road memory & crafts

Day trip to Sheki, a historic Silk Road city known for traditional architecture. Visit the Sheki Khan's Palace (UNESCO), famous for its colourful "shebeke" stained glass made without nails, and the 18th-century caravanserai. A shebeke master class introduces the traditional craft; optionally, the 5th-century Kish Albanian Church. Free time for shopping before returning to Gabala.

  7. Day 7

Back to Baku & Absheron: land of eternal fire

Drive back toward Baku. Visit Yanar Dag, the "Burning Mountain" where natural flames rise continuously from the ground, and the Ateshgah Fire Temple, a key spiritual and cultural landmark of the Absheron peninsula. Check-in in Baku.

  8. Day 8

    Baku at your taste

A flexible day — shopping in malls or local markets, a traditional Azerbaijani hammam experience, and a Caspian Sea boat tour for a different view of Baku. Optionally, a farewell dinner at a traditional restaurant.

  9. Day 9

    Departure from Baku

Transfer to the airport; end of our land services.
